Shipment 1
In January of 2018 Kicks for Cambodia decided to send out our first shipment. At this time we weren’t a registered non-profit. Our first shipment consisted of 20 soccer jerseys ranging in size. The feeling I got shipping out our first shipment was amazing. You really feel like you are doing good in the world. Once the shipment arrived and I was sent pictures I was so excited to see the impact I had.
Shipment #2
In May of 2018 Kicks for Cambodia sent our second ever shipment. This was our first ever shipment sent out as a registered non-profit which means we are allowed to collect donations. Most of our shipments are based on the needs of the children in Cambodia and this one was no different. The children in the village were in need of a goal so we shipped them a goal. Along with the goal this shipment contained 15 jerseys and 8 soccer balls.
Shipment #3
In December of 2018 Kicks for Cambodia sent out our third shipment to Cambodia. This was our first shipment in which all items shipped were donated by people who supported Kicks for Cambodia. This was a big step as we really wanted to grow Kicks for Cambodia. This shipment included 3 pairs of adidas pants, 8 adidas shorts, 10 soccer jerseys, 5 drawstring bags and 10 cleats. This shipment was a big assortment of things that really benefited the children.
Shipment #4
From the beginning of 2019 to April of 2019 we ran a shoe drive. This was our largest shipment yet and it included over 100 pairs of shoes of shoes. Most of the shoes were gym shoes and they all ranged in size. This was an important shipment as it showed that as an organization we can run a successful fundraiser of such magnitude. The children really appreciated this shipment as most of them don’t have shoes to wear.
Shipment #5
In the Fall of 2019 we partnered with the soccer team at my high school to raise money. We were raising money to help buy school uniforms for the children in Cambodia. In Cambodia education is free as long as you have a school uniform, however most families can’t afford the school uniforms. This was the first shipment that was only monetary and it was a big success. We ended up raising over $1000 to help buy school uniforms
Shipment #6
In the winter of 19/20 we as an organization wanted to grow so we created a partnership with Score Sports. Score Sports is a North-American Sporting Goods Company. They are the company that creates all of the AYSO jerseys amongst other things. They were very generous with their donation and they ended up donating 70 soccer jerseys and many soccer balls. This partnership with Score Sports is something that will continue into the future and something we, as an organization, are very excited about.
